These terms govern your use of the StaySafe Morocco platform, mobile app, and eSIM service. Please read them carefully before purchasing or downloading the app.

1. Acceptance of these Terms
By accessing the StaySafe Morocco website (staysafemorocco.com), purchasing an eSIM, downloading the StaySafe mobile app, or using any related service (collectively, the “Service“), you agree to be legally bound by these Terms & Conditions and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
2. Definitions
- “StaySafe Morocco”, “we”, “us”, “our” — refers to the Moroccan-based initiative operating the platform.
- “User”, “you”, “your” — any person who uses the Service.
- “eSIM” — an embedded SIM data plan delivered as a QR code, providing mobile internet and call minutes in Morocco.
- “App” — the StaySafe Morocco mobile application available on iOS and Android.
- “Content” — text, images, guides, ratings, reviews, and other material on the platform.
3. Who can use the Service
You may use the Service only if you are at least 16 years old and capable of forming a binding contract under the law of your country of residence. If you are using the Service on behalf of a company, you confirm you are authorised to bind that entity to these Terms.
4. Accounts
You can browse most of the Service without an account. To purchase an eSIM or post in the traveller community, you may need to provide accurate personal information (name, email, billing address). You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity on your account. Notify us immediately at hello@staysafemorocco.com if you suspect unauthorised access.
5. The eSIM Service
Our eSIM plans provide prepaid mobile data and voice service for use inside Morocco only. They operate on the networks of our partner Moroccan mobile carriers. Coverage, speed, and availability depend on the partner network and on your device’s hardware.
You confirm that your device is eSIM-compatible before purchasing. A non-exhaustive compatibility list is available on our What is an eSIM page. We are not responsible for purchases made for devices that do not support eSIM technology.
6. Pricing & payment
All prices are displayed in US Dollars (USD) and include any applicable taxes unless stated otherwise. Payment is processed by Stripe, a PCI-compliant payment processor. We do not store your full payment card details on our servers.
We currently accept major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express), Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Link.
7. Delivery & activation
After successful payment, you will receive an email with your eSIM QR code and step-by-step activation instructions, typically within 5 minutes. Your eSIM validity period (currently 30 days) begins from the moment you activate the eSIM on your device — not from the moment of purchase.
If you have not received your QR code within 1 hour, please check your spam folder and then contact us. We will resend it or refund you in full if delivery has failed.
8. Refunds & cancellations
Full refunds are available for:
- Failed delivery of the eSIM QR code (we will attempt redelivery first).
- Devices that, despite a good-faith compatibility check, cannot install the eSIM.
- Plans purchased but never activated, within 30 days of purchase.
Once an eSIM is activated and consuming data, it is considered “used” and is not eligible for a refund. For full details please see our Refund & Returns Policy.
9. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful purpose.
- Resell or commercially redistribute eSIM QR codes.
- Use the connection for spam, mass messaging, or denial-of-service activity.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or scrape the App or website.
- Impersonate any person or misrepresent your affiliation with any entity.
- Upload malware or interfere with the operation of the Service.
We may suspend or terminate access if we believe these rules have been violated.
10. The StaySafe mobile app
The StaySafe app is provided free of charge to travellers. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to download and use the App on devices you own or control, solely for personal, non-commercial use.
11. Emergency SOS feature — important notice
The SOS button in the StaySafe app is a convenience tool that places a call to Moroccan emergency services and attempts to share your GPS location. It is not a replacement for, and may not always succeed in, contacting emergency services. In any genuine emergency you should also dial directly:
- Police: 19 (urban) or 177 (Royal Gendarmerie, rural)
- Civil Protection / Fire / Ambulance: 15
- SAMU (medical emergency): 141
The SOS feature depends on a functioning data or voice connection, a charged device, GPS availability, and operational emergency dispatch infrastructure. We make no guarantee that the SOS feature will work in any specific location, situation, or time, and we accept no liability for delays in emergency response, failure of the call to connect, or inaccuracy of shared location.
12. Hospital, pharmacy & medication information
The hospital, pharmacy, and medication data in the App is provided for informational purposes only. We make reasonable efforts to keep the data accurate and updated, but we cannot guarantee real-time accuracy of opening hours, stock availability, equipment, or staff. The App is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always consult a qualified healthcare provider.
13. City guides & bookable activities
City guides and activity listings are editorial content curated by our team or contributed by partners. When you book an activity through the App, the activity itself is provided by a third-party operator under its own terms. We act only as a booking intermediary and are not responsible for the conduct, quality, or safety of third-party activities. We will, however, mediate in good faith if a dispute arises with an operator booked through the platform.
14. Third-party services
The Service integrates with third-party providers including:
- Stripe — payment processing
- Google Maps — mapping & geolocation
- Google Analytics — usage measurement
- Meta (Facebook) Pixel & TikTok Pixel — advertising attribution
- WhatsApp Business — customer support
- Local Moroccan mobile carriers — eSIM data & voice
Your use of these services is also governed by their own terms and privacy policies.
15. Intellectual property
All text, logos, illustrations, photographs, software, and other content on the Service (excluding user-submitted content and clearly attributed third-party material) are owned by or licensed to StaySafe Morocco and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other applicable laws. You may not copy, modify, redistribute, or create derivative works without our prior written consent.
16. User content & community
If you post reviews, tips, or messages in the traveller community, you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive licence to use, display, and distribute that content within the Service. You confirm that your content does not infringe any third-party rights and is not unlawful, defamatory, obscene, or hateful. We may remove content that violates these rules without prior notice.
17. Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that any defects will be corrected.
18. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, StaySafe Morocco, its founders, employees, and contractors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including loss of profit, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses — arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Service.
Our total cumulative liability to you for any claim arising from the Service shall not exceed the total amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or USD 100, whichever is higher.
19. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless StaySafe Morocco from any claim, loss, liability, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your misuse of the Service, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.
20. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice. You may stop using the Service at any time. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (such as IP, liability, and governing law) will continue to apply.
21. Governing law & disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Morocco. Any dispute arising from or connected to the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Casablanca, Morocco, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protection rights you may have under the law of your country of residence.
22. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The most recent version is always available on this page, with a “last updated” date at the top. Material changes will also be announced via email (to active customers) or in the App. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
